MARCUS VINROOT - Had a few summer trail cam pics of this 14 point Patrick County Virginia stud, but as the summer moved on it seemed that so did this buck. Once fall sat in Marcus didn't know that the buck was still around. On 11/14/16 Marcus was planning on getting in the woods with his muzzleloader, but couldn't get the it to shoot correctly so he grabbed his bow instead and climbed into his stand. To his amazement he noticed the big buck with a doe about 100 yards out. The buck followed the doe into a pine thicket and disappeared for about 30 minutes. Marcus was using a deer decoy which caught the attention of the doe as she re-emerged from the thicket and she came in for a closer look. Initially the buck stood his ground watching then he came in down wind and approached the decoy looking to mix it up. Marcus hammered him at 20 yards! Marcus is a die hard bow hunter and in the end was glad his ML acted up.
