Eli Umberger - Age 9 took this 4 yr old mature, 172lb 9 point buck in Goochland County Va on Youth day using a M77-.243. This is not Eli's first buck either, he took a 6 pointer on Youth day last season. Eli was hunting alongside his father Kirk and with another year of experience under his belt Eli really wanted to hold out for this 9 point buck. They have tons of trail cam pics and have glassed the buck throughout the summer. Eli actually passed up 4 does and 3 smaller bucks in hopes that he would see this buck. Low and behold the buck stepped out just before dark and that was all she wrote!! Congratulations to both Eli and Kirk, that's what father and son dreams are made of.
